Thursday Movie Picks #19: TV Edition: Dystopian/Apocalyptic

Hey! Welcome to Thursday Movie Picks where you get to share your movie picks for each topic presented every Thursday!  Based on the theme presented each week, you can pick up to 3 to 5 movies and explain why you picked those movies! This meme is being hosted by Wandering through the Shelves!

This week's theme is: TV Edition: Dystopian / Apocalyptic

Even though dystopian shows are a thing nowadays, I don't really watch much of them.  But here are a couple of Dystopian themed shows that I have seen!

Believing in humanity and order, policewoman Akane Tsunemori obeys the ruling, computerized precognitive Sibyl System.  But when she faces a criminal mastermind who can elude this "perfect" system, she questions the Sibyl and herself.

I've been watching this show for awhile now and it's pretty interesting!  An anime series that is about a system that judges whether or not people should live based on how many crimes they committed?  Sounds like a dangerous world to live in!

2. Jericho

A small town in Kansas is literally left in the dark after seeing a mushroom cloud over nearby Denver, Colorado.  The townspeople struggle to find answers about the blast and solutions on  how to survive.

I saw a couple of episodes from this show and it was pretty interesting in seeing how the people are trying to survive in this world after a nuclear explosion.  I'm still wondering why this show was cancelled in the first place, especially with the huge controversy this show caused over its cancellation.

An anthology series exploring a twisted, high-tech multiverse where humanity's greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide.

I saw a couple of episodes from this show and some of the episodes were pretty interesting, especially the episode where this guy lives in a world where he is forced to watch whatever TV programs that the system chooses for him, even if he doesn't want to watch those shows.
