Weird Images from Weird Movies and TV #4: James and the Giant Peach

Hello everyone! Welcome to "Weird Images from Weird Movies and TV!" Here, I showcase some of the weirdest images I have ever seen in the movies and TV shows that I have watched over the years! There are always images in movies and TV shows that stands out the most to viewers and I'm going to showcase some weird images that really stayed with me and showed me just how weird this movie or TV series can really get!

This week's movie is:

"James and the Giant Peach" is another bizarre animated film that I had discovered in the 1990s and man, were there a lot of weird images in this movie! So, here are some of the weirdest images I had seen in this movie!

Here is James and his bug friends! Is there anything weirder than seeing giant sized bugs?

The moment I saw the giant peach in the film, it had gone through so many situations that a peach shouldn't go through like being carried by a flock of birds and floating out in the ocean. Oh, and it's a GIANT peach!

This was the stuff of nightmares for me when I was little. I was wondering to myself about what the heck is a mechanical shark that shows up out of nowhere in the ocean doing in this movie?

Wow! One of the antagonists in this film was a rhino that is actually a cloud! You know, a CLOUD RHINO!!! Who would have thought that a cloud would look so terrifying yet strange at the same time!

I honestly had a hard time deciding what was the weirdest image in this movie. It was between the Cloud Rhino and James' Nightmare Scene. So, I decided to choose James' Nightmare Scene for the weirdest image in this movie since it involves James becoming a caterpillar in his dream.

The second part of James' nightmare is seeing bizarre versions of his evil aunts trying to kill him with pesticide. The animation in this scene is very different from the rest of the film as it reminds me of a more nightmarish version of the animations in "Monty Python's Flying Circus."

I almost didn't make this list because I wasn't sure of any movies that featured nannies or babysitters. But then, my memories started coming back to me and I started remembering these movies again! So, here are some movies that featured nannies or babysitters that I had watched over the years!

1. Mary Poppins

This was one of those films that I used to watch a lot when I was little, although I never fully understood this film when I was little. I thought that Julie Andrews was fantastic as Mary Poppins. I think I need to rewatch this film again!

2. The Babysitter

I had watched this movie when it first came out and I surprisingly loved it! It was such a campy yet fun little horror movie about a babysitter who was apart of a cult and tried to go after the young boy!

3. Mrs. Doubtfire

This one was an absolute classic! Robin Williams was fantastic in this film and this was one of my favorite nanny movies!

Weird Images from Weird Movies and TV #3: Hen, His Wife

This week's movie is:

"Hen, his Wife" is probably one of the weirdest animated shorts I had ever seen and it has some of the weirdest images ever imaginable! So, here are some weird images from "Hen, his Wife!"

This may seem like a "normal" picture of a toy car with a windup, but this toy was actually used to play the record player in this short and it pretty much symbolizes the whole short. I just thought it was bizarre that a toy car can actually make a record play.

And here's the humanoid hen wife! How the husband didn't know that his wife was a hen is beyond me.

And here's the husband's "sly" friend who is wearing a black mask for some bizarre reason. It really makes his appearances in the short very mysterious.

Here's the hallucination scene of the head of the black masked friend in the husband's dresser. The scene is started when the husband tries to make a phone call and he sets down his phone and the phone suddenly tears the dresser apart, revealing the head of the husband's friend.

And of course, I'm saving the weirdest image for last and that's the image of the couple's half worm half human pet. I don't know what the significance of this pet is, but it sure makes for a weird sight!
